Dahna Rowe (pronounced “Donna”), has been performing professionally in the
Tidewater area for 24 years. She has released two original albums on Canadian
Label Chaud Records, as well as Warner Brother’s subsidiary indie label Thirsty Ear
with her previous original harder edge rock band Car 44. Their second album
entitled, “Platinum Holes” won several awards for Album of the Year, Lead Vocalist
of the Year, Rock Band of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year in Ninevolt
Magazine’s local music awards (both 2000 and 2001 yearly awards). Since then,
Dahna has released one original solo album entitled “SOMEBODY” on Indie label
Broken Records, which is currently available on iTunes and CD Baby.
Dahna performs every genre of music from jazz, to punk, harder edge rock, blues,
modern rock, country, Americana, pop, top 40, reggae, and classic rock. Dahna
prides herself on having an extensive song list of over 550 cover songs to fit any
musical taste in any venue she performs. She is a vocalist, guitarist, pianist, flutist,
drummer, and percussionist as well as a songwriter/lyricist.
Dahna was recognized and nominated in this year’s (2014) Veer Magazine awards
for country artist of the year, as well as open mic coordinator of the year. Dahna’s
band lineup consists of solo, duo, trio, or full four piece band. She is currently
performing under the band name “Dahna Rowe and The Miscreants”.
